Kris Jones is a respected swim coach, athletics leader, and mentor with more than 15 years of experience developing athletes, building programs, and leading high-performing teams. His background spans competitive swimming, aquatics operations, and district athletics, where he has helped create environments centered on growth, discipline, accountability, and long-term athlete development.
Throughout his career, Kris has coached and supported swimmers at multiple levels while helping lead one of the region’s premier aquatics programs. He has overseen hundreds of swim events, developed coaches and staff, and remained deeply involved in advancing the sport through leadership roles at both the state and national levels.
Kris currently serves as CFO and Executive Board Treasurer for the Texas Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association and as Executive Board Treasurer for the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association, where he supports organizational strategy, financial oversight, coach development, and the continued advancement of interscholastic swimming.
Known for his servant leadership approach, Kris is passionate about developing people both in and out of the pool. He believes athletics provide an opportunity to build confidence, character, resilience, and leadership skills that extend far beyond competition.
Kris holds a Bachelor of Science from Texas State University, a Master of Education from University of Texas at Arlington, and dual MBAs in Sports Management from Florida International University and Universidad Europea @ Real Madrid.
Above all, Kris is a dedicated husband, father, and mentor who is committed to positively impacting athletes, families, and communities through the sport of swimming.
Coach Selah brings a lifelong passion for aquatics and a strong competitive background to the team. She has been swimming since the age of four and began playing water polo at eleven, developing a deep understanding of both sports along with the discipline, resilience, and teamwork they require.
A standout student-athlete, Selah has earned numerous accolades throughout her high school career, including 2× District MVP, Region MVP, Offensive Player of the Year, First Team All-State, and Texas Elite Team selection, while also being a two-year member of the National Honor Society. Her leadership in and out of the pool reflects her commitment to excellence and her ability to motivate those around her.
Selah has hands-on experience mentoring young athletes, having assisted in coaching a nonprofit team, where she worked closely with swimmers to build skills, confidence, and a love for the sport. Her strong swimming foundation allows her to effectively support technique development and encourage athletes at all levels.
She will continue her academic and athletic journey at McKendree University, where she will compete as a member of the water polo team.
